eh, getting there. gotta go see the doc tomorrow though. hopefully he'll have some magical medicine that'll fix me right up. I could probably be up for a run sometime like the 17th or whatever we've been planning. let me know when you're back in cville.

that's too bad man. hope you can find one in time to come. I was just up there yesterday, and there is still about 4-6" of snow on the trail, and we are supposed to get another 6 or so up there this week. It's gonna be a heck of a ride this coming saturday. Let me know how things end up, and whether or not to expect you later in the week. If anyone else is still interested please let me know.

p.s.-ANY STOCK EXPLORER CAN MAKE THIS TRAIL...it's easy to follow the trail with no damage. however, there are plenty of places you can destroy almost anything if you want to

so does that mean you're in? the meeting place is going to be the Liberty gas station/McDonald's combo thing in Lovingston. There is a food lion and a shopping center right behind it, and it is right off the southbound side of rt 29, so it's pretty easy to find. I don't know what time we will be getting there yet, but I'd assume something around 9-10.

Well... I was in. Been planning on it with my brother and bro-in-law but we've been talking today about the weather expected up there this week and aren't sure about it now I'm fiending to go wheeling. How close to the area are you?

im might be in i think im just gonna leave the wife at home and bring a buddy and maybe a video camera and i just looked it up from here chantilly to there Lovingston is about 2 hours 2min

I'm only about 45 min away in Charlottesville. When we went up last Saturday, there was still some untouched snow up there. Hopefully we get some snow, and not too much ice from this storm, but I don't know what's going to happen. If the roads are iced up real bad, I don't think we are going, but they should be clear by Saturday. I guess we will play it by ear. Anyways, I will be at the McDonalds, waiting for anyone who wants to join, until probably like 9:30 or so. If you need some more details on anything, you can call me at 434-962-5115. It's not looking like we're gonna make it. Snow doesn't bother me too much.. its the ice. My brother is getting a new truck this week and was planning to take it but doesn't want to chance it with either. We'll probably try again in the next couple weeks.

Anyway, let me know how the weather goes. If you don't think its too icey I may make the trip. Is anyone else planning to go besides you and xplrsport01?

I believe that once you get on 29, (I guess you'd go 64 to 29 in charlottesville), you'd just head south. Lovingston is about 35-45 min south of charlottesville. If you are passing charlottesville, you could just meet up with me and my uncle there and follow us. So far the count is 3 trucks. xplrsprt01 and fordpwnzchvy(sp?). I believe there may be more though. A lot is depending on the weather. As of right now, I've got about 1/2" of ice outside. I'm about dead center of charlottesville, so there's probably a little more on the trail. I'm hoping all this ice clears up, so we can go. I know the roads will be decent by saturday though. The trail, however...will not.

I'd say about 90% of what we got melted off the roads here in charlottesville. I would guess that the roads will be fine for our run on saturday. There should still be quite a bit of snow up there in the mountains though. Even if there isn't, it'll be fun because it'll be slick and muddy. I'm ready for some wheeling. I went out today and accidentally jumped my front end about 2 feet. I was surprised that nothing broke.

whats the trail like? is it level or up the side of a mountain with 4-5 feet to the left/ right you'll off a cliff? because my wife wants to come but unfortunatlly afraid of hights
