I'll tell ya, that stump has killed more trucks........ First time Chris and I went through that stream, we watched 2 trucks get pulled off it. Last time I was there, it bent the lower bar on my front brushguard, and kept Expsport2001 hung up for quite a while (Not to mention Yob Yeknom's surprising run backwards into the creek as a passenger )

Maybe next time I'm there I'll bring a chainsaw..........

Hey matt, what rear axel your truck have in it now?

I got the 3.27s in there now and it makes it really sluggish. Great for gas milage, but I very rarely drive on the highway anyway, so why not have more fun a lower speeds? I had plans to buy brand new gears and a limited slip diff, but that was going to be sooo damn expensive and then I'd pay someone to put the gears in which would be around 400 bucks. So why not just swap out the whole rear axle, much easier to do, just 6 bolts and no messy gearing.

I may be interested in going if there is anyone else out there from NC (Tarheel) who would be going also. I am not sure that I would drive Blackbox up there unless I swapped out with my offroad set when I got up there... whenever is fine as long as it's a weekend. Sounds great...

I'll be up for the late August run-I have a lot of running around to do that month.

Speaking of runing around, is anybody gonna be in the Ocean City vicinity on the weekend of August 3-5th? Jay and I are going down for bike week and we have his family's condo for three days, if anyone wants a free place to sleep....

I killed a tank of gas in my dads taurus today and only found 2 trucks =\. One is pretty promising though. Its a 97 with a 5spd, superclean, Its got the 4 auto, 4 high, 4 low transfer case. Its got 95k miles and runs real nice. and they only want 6995 for it. The only thing is thats its white and i hate white but at that price i think i can deal.

White's pretty good at hiding scratches though...It's a B*tch to keep clean, but at least the "rake got dragged down the side of my truck" tree pinstriping won't be so obvious! Good luck
