All I gotta say is it could be so bad ass! I mean, those stats on it....So sweet! Lots of power.....33's....Ford would be smart to sell that!

Now why can't they put that engine in an Explorer? 375 hp from the SOHC is a great achievement. If only they could tune our engines for that power. I've always been dismayed how our V6's make less power than many other 6's and 4's for that matter. They do make a lot of torque, though; and at low RPM's.

2600 lbs with 375 hp! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
So where does the line start?

I want that motor! This thing has got to fly!

Four-wheel drive
Engine: SOHC, V.6, 4.0L
Super charged / inter-cooled
Power: 375 hp @ 4,600 rpm
Torque: 410 lb.ft @ 3,800 rpm
Drivetrain: Five-speed manual transmission
Weight: 2600pounds - 50 percent front / 50 percent rear
Angle of approach: 52.5 degrees
Angle of departure: 90 degrees
Front Suspension: Independent with dual coil over reservoir shocks per corner
Rear Suspension: Independent with dual coil over reservoir shocks per corner

If they do put it into production (and I bet they won't) it will be priced out of the reach of us working stiffs!

Reminds me of looking at a damn sport quad, anyone else? That things kicks ass. I want one soo bad. 375HP with a tiny 2600lb vehicle???????? That is nuts man. You could fly in that thing. But, you know they'll never make it. Not many people would have enough money to buy something like this, and there just aren't enough people to buy them since they are made for off-road action

Well Holy.......!!!

Now you guys all gotta know that the main drive for that vehicle has been the groups from this website taking ford out wheeling with them. Rick and all the other guys that have made this go down need muchas comendations. That thing would be so damn sweet, and would probably be in the range of what we spend modifying a brand new Explorer to do half of what that thing is probably capable of. I still love mine but damn that is a sweet truck.

dodgerr

My only ? is where are the bumpers and where will i put my beer?!!!!! Just a joke. It would be sweet if ford really would make them, but you know they won't because "they're not safe" bah, bah, bah. With that power/weight you could burn all four tires.

Ford EX

Hey isn't that kinda what JG's truck will look like with everything torn off??? LOL
J/K JG!!

I heard that engine run at the Employee Preview for the auto show up here a few weeks back.... it makes that power from a supercharger, and that thing wheezes lika an old man on oxygen! It's by no means quiet, but it's got some cojones!

hey, that link didnt work too well for me, i couldnt find it, could someone post some pics up in here

Here's some pics:

Ok, no pics anymore. .guess I'll have to go to photopoint or whatever it is. Xoom doesn't like me using their site to host pics it seems.

pics dont work....

That almost exactly matches what we all said in the Wrangler Fighter thread with the main differences being the Independant suspension rather than the solid axles that we asked for and the fact that it is only a two seater. If it was a four seater I'd guess that it might be possible for it to go into production. My guess is that as a two seater it will never go further than the car show floor. Too bad because if it was a four seater I'd consider one.

it looks pretty cool except a few things. 1)I hate cv joints on trucks. 2)no solid axles (good for some stuff, but not for articulation). I like the 375 horses out of the 4.0L
Hopefully this is just the first step.

Guys...sorta on the subject...anyone know when the Chicago auto show is? I have no clue what site to check and I heard it was on the weekend of Feb 10th
Thanks

P.S. the pics look good

Let me guess Ford is going to make the buggy thing but they're going to put the ****ty mazda 5 speed in it insted of a T-5.

A good way to find out would be see if the places where a show like this has a web site, and then they should have a schedule of events that are coming to the area. I know that in Boston Mass, there is the Bay Side Expo Center, so I looked for a web site for them and found it and then there was the schedule of events, and there was the "World of Wheels" (all Local customized cars & trucks).

Hope this helps.
