Well im pretty pissed off here..... Lets see where to start, ok I have a 96 Xlt. Shes my baby, I love her with all I got and clean her like every week and blah blah blah you guys know how it is. Now seeing as how this is my 2nd car I have ever owned (first being a 93X) Im taking care of it like crazy. At restaruants I sit right by the window where I parked my truck I look for the best parking spots I even talk to it when I tuck it in at night... yes I talk to my truck so what?


Anyways Today I parked my truck like I usually do with its beautifull face facing outwards so I can show her off and drive out of the spot easier. As I walk away I notice an ugly ass suburban had to be like a 80 something or even older if possible. Anyways inside the truck is this 3 foot penguin lady (ok she wasn't 3 feet tall but still) wobbling side to side I didnt think of nothing at the time so I kept walking away into the store. 2 hours later I come out and get in my truck start her up, then my GF comes in and says "have you always had that scratch on the mirror" so immediatly I got out looked at it and looked around snarling imaging just who could have done it. The scratch is horrible.... its a deep ass scratch and it goes as far left as possible mind you this is on the passanger side. So anyways here I am pissed off now about it, I think I even scared my GF.

Well anyways now to fix it up. I don't got a digital cam to take a pic of how bad it looks but ill spare you all the tears and just tell you its bad. So now comes the damage control. How do I fix it? Is there some type of paint I can put on there that can mask it. From a far you can't notice it but once your close you can tell its been driven into.

Is the scratch on the passenger side mirror? If so why not just get a replacement mirror insert.

i know how you feel my earlier suv was keyed so many times i stopped caring. i also talk to my explorer and dont care what people think and would be yelling four letter bombs if i found it on my exp. do you have a macco you could go by there and get a guote on just the part scratched?

Be careful where you park. Never park next to handicapped spots...those people that can barely walk dont care about hitting your X with there door. I always park next to car of equal or better value too. If you park next to a crapper...expect to get crapped on. Try to park in the back of the lot, but be careful of loose shopping carts too.

ya parking in supermarket lots is the worst is it a chrome mirror or plastic? if its chrome you will have to replace it i imagine .i was gonna say park in the middle of two spots but by the sound of the people over there, they would key your car for sure

Here is something else that I can't stand.
ok you have a nice car and you park way away from all of the other cars, not another car around for atleast 50 feet from you. you come out of the store and some a--hole parks right next to you in their pos car.

yes especially when there is like 12 empty spots around u - at the far edge of the lot.. and some chode boy parks right next to yer car.

Thats why I don't buy a new one

A couple months ago a woman parked next to me with a much newer vehicle. She opened her door and banged it into mine while I was in the vehicle. When I told her she put a dent in my door she said I could open my door and put a dent in her's. The morace of society have changed. Many people see a vehicle as only something to get from A to B.

A couple of months ago i backed into a tree and busted a tail light, a month later i railed a tree with the side of my truck and whiped out the tail light yet again... one more month goes buy i lean the side of a truck up against a tree and then take out a mirror.... whats my point? I dunno. But i dont care about damage.

I really hate it when people don't give a damn about other's cars. I take the time to make sure not to open my door on their car. But most adults aren't so bad, it's the kids, they don't care, they fling those doors open as fast as possible and whatever is in the way gets hit.

Holy cow! Thats like when your in elementary school and you hit someone, then told them they could hit ya in the junk if they didnt tell the teacher. I would have told her that I wont open my door into it, but I got a wrench in the back that I'll take a few swings with.

Yep thats what I'll need the black piece, its not chrome or whatever the shiny stuff is called. Guess I gota pay 25bucks thanks to some moron....
