I’ve been toying with the idea of replacing the stock speakers both front and rear in my X with these.

Dead Link Removed

I planed on getting the 5.25 component set for $199.95 shipped, all the reviews I’ve read on these say they produce some kick a$$ sound. What do you guys think good speakers, good price?

Thanks

those are good speakers. dei is highly respected in the audio worl. I just think the price is too steep

I got this price from Dead Link Removed. Do you know of a place where I could get them cheaper?

no i dont. i just meant that they are really high end. and with that quality and name mean big $$$$$

Jas84, that would be the Perfect series, but they only have one comp set out the 6.1. Which is around $350, I had two perfect 12.1 subs and had way to many problems to go back to another Infinity product.

Jimabena74, I knew DEI was high on the "We don't produce crap" list, but I thought $200 shipped was fairly cheap fro a comp set like this.

it is. that is a good price for a componet set. i just meant 200 is a lot of money...my new inner front clip...fender support/aprons and radiator support was 270 and it had fuse box and all the factory wiring anfd fluid reservoirs.

That's a great speaker, even better price. Just be sure you have enough cash left over for a good amp to push those. They are 80 watts RMS and lemmie tell you they won't sound good with out those 80 watts. They'll be better than stock speakers. But if you plan on running these speakers of your stock headunit or even an aftermarket headunit you are going to do damage to your speakers by only sending them 15-20 watts RMS. At higher volumes your headunit's signal will "clip" causing damage to your speakers.

Good choice on speakers, just pick out a good amp to go with them.

I've always liked MTX. I've got a MTX 152 pushing my MTX 12s, I had planned on getting a MTX 6304 its rated 90x4 @ 4ohms. That should be plenty for the front and rear comps.
