Zombie Assault Preparedness Vehicle or ZAPV

Ahh, ASVs. I hated them. Let me rephrase that, I mainly hated the poor visibility from inside.

im down to join, but itll take a while to be fully prepared with the way gas prices are in san diego, prolly the most expensive area in the US. ill take zapv 619, and start saving up for setting my exploder up for zombies.

the thing I hate about ASV's is how hard it is to get in and out in full battle rattle. Luckily. all I have to do is slave them off cuz the driver forgot to turn something off. They are a good vehicle other wise (except the yearly service when you have to pull the pack)

asking

what i want to and cant seem to find ... did you prep the truck before you painted it... and can i join.... what # do i get

I did prep it with some sand paper, but not good enough. some of the paint is starting to peal (also due to rocks and large trees), no big deal as I just touch it up with some spray paint now and then. If any one else is going to line there vehicle I would recommend scraping the hell out of the paint first (then cleaning it RELAY well). Honestly I don't have the time right now to update any web pages and such so any one who wants to be a member go right ahead and pick your own # (except 1-3)

I want that house! ^^^

kool i'll take 127

not sure... no one answered... i guess pick a number

bad news for the ZAPV, don't know what happened. my mother inlaw was driving and said there was a "grinding sound" coming from the wheel.

just got off the phone with my brother, he's not sure what it is yet, but I told him to see if fixing it would cost about the same as a EB SAS (it needed new tires anyway) :P

Someone said that about my X and sent me a pic like that, there would be a "grinding noise" from my foot entering someones a** for driving it for who knows how long like that. My guess is ball joint. Lower CA, digging into the rim caused the noise. I had a ball joint (I refuse to refer to them as BJs, i laugh too much) let go on my t-bird and the car dropped and hit the ground but not before the lower CA gouged a nice chunk out of the rim.

Hey this is 2-stripes brother. I don't really know Ford lingo, but I checked the BJ's, UCAs LCAs, and CVs. None of them seemed bad. My guess is it's the hub, but I won't know what all is bad till I tear it all apart.

This is more for Derrick since I can't call, and he can check when he gets the chance.
But if anyone has any tips, or tricks I'm all ears.

Ok I have the front apart. This is the list of things that need replaced.
CV
Rotor
Caliper + pads
Knuckle
And whatever that sensor is(ABS, or speed sensor IDK).
Pretty much everything that connects to the knuckle.
The shocks are also toast so I'll replace those too.

I'd like to get it rolling this weekend if I can so if anyone knows the part numbers for that sensor, and it's housing let me know I getting all the stuff from NAPA if I can.

When the bearing, or hub let go the CV bent up a lot of stuff , but at least the BJs look to be good. The rotor, and CV have been discolored by heat, and the rotor is damaged from part of the bearing wedging itself between the pad, and rotor.

Edit...
Found the part number. Looks like the total will be between 600, and 700 with rancho 5000 shocks
