The first ever: Ford Explorer XRT V8 AWD This is my 2000 Explorer XLT w/5.0L V8 and All Wheel Drive. My quest for this vehicle is to make it a better touring car. Designed for being comfortable, handle well, and to perform well. XRT is just a trim level that I made up. It represents what I'm trying to achieve with my truck. It stands for nothing, just three simple letters standing for what I'm trying to do. Current modifications include: Engine/Transmission MAC cold air intake Two aux. transmission coolers Aux. transmission filter Transmission temp. gauge Audio Ford/Pioneer CD/MP3 headunit Pioneer 6X8 Speakers MTX ThunderForm stealth mount 10" subwoofer Sound deadening Lighting Diamond heads and...

I just spent about 15 minutes looking for a new feature Explorer. The first place I look is for them is in the Elite Explorer Registry . If there are no photos, in your thread, or if your photos are at cardomain, soundomain etc, I can't do anything with your ride. I also look in signatures of users to find links to their stats/photo pages. That hasn't got me much farther this morning. I reccomend to place a link in your signature that will take the user to your Elite Explorer Registry page. I'm just looking to copy and paste your stats and photos. PLEASE. If you want to have a chance to have your Explorer featured update your Elite Explorer Registry entry with stats, photos, etc.
Its that time to be thankful and since its thanksgiving its a great time to kick off our apperation to those on this forum. So for the rest of the year we will have one rig per week. Each thursday a new one will come out ending on Dec. 31. The first rig is one which I have been able to see in person. It goes good and looks good to. Its owner is a great guy who can put together a great off road trip. Oh and I was allowed to drag this explorer a little. I wont post that picture today but anyone eles can. Here is to you Greg. His Elite Reg: I figured it was about time to get my registry going. I have been Modding my 95 XLT since last September. It was completely stock, and had a bunch of "health issues". First thing was to get the...

My 2001 XLS 4x4 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In April of 2004 I traded in my 1999 Ranger for a 2001 Explorer 4x4. Since it was a 4x4 I originally had intentions of making it all about offroading. However after consideration, I decided instead to make it sort of a Jack-of-all-trades type vehicle. That is, I wanted it to be comfortable for where it would spend most of its time, on the street, yet still capable of having alittle fun off road. I also recently set a goal of improving its gas mileage up to a fairly consistent 20mpg. Stuff thats done so far, # American Racing Baja Wheels 16x8 # Toyo Open Country A/T 265/75/16 # Smittybuilt grill guard # KC Daylighter off road...
