I think this might be a good idea Some of you have items for sale, but are afraid to ship them for various reasons. Maybe this thread will help you overcome the issues, and, sell your stuff. I would like each contributor to sub title his suggestion so they are easy to find for sellers, wishing to find a shipping option. No comments please, in order to keep this thread as comprehensive as possible. Comments will be deleted. Thanks in advance for your contributions.!!!
Folks! It Is Buyer Beware! Explorerforum does not mediate delivery, payment, or any other details of specific transactions between vendors and buyers. We simply provide this forum as a communication channel. As the ForSale moderator Section525 and I occasionally have members emailing us about people who have taken their money and run off with out sending the product or refunding the $$. Unfortunately, not all members can be trusted, it is a shame. My general advice is: Use a credit card if you can. Use an escrow service like paypal.com or use Ebay if you are unsure or use a 3rd party person the two of you trust to conduct the transaction if you have ANY doubts. Good info: This information is good not just...
For Sale Trade & Wanted Forum Rules!!! Updated 11/25/04. Okay, first off, all of the rules that you read when you signed up apply... Click here if you don't remember them! Here are a few which are specific to the for sale forums... 1. You must be an Elite Explorer member to sell parts and vehicles on our forum. You must be an EF Vendor to sell commercially. 2. Do not try to sell illegal copies of ANYTHING, don't try to sell burned copies of manuals, music CD's, DVD's or any of that... This includes items that people would need a license to purchase. 3. Do not undermine someone elses sale. If they are selling a widget arm for $22 + shipping and you know where you can get one for $14 shipped, its not up to you to "educate"...
I have a brush guard from my 1997 Explorer for sale. Would probably/might fit other years, but not sure. Based outside of Philadelphia. $100 and if you want it shipped, you pay. Cost to ship would be ridiculous though.
I have both OEM axle shafts from my 1994 Explorer 8.8 rear axle taking up space in my shed. I removed them when I installed a Yukon C-clip eliminator kit. They appear to be in excellent used condition. The studs have been shortened to accommodate adaptor spacer clearance, but they are otherwise OEM. FREE Local pickup only, will not ship. I frequently travel from San Diego to Kingman, Arizona. They are in San Diego currently, but I can bring them out to Kingman in October.
I have four Bilstein 5125, 8.25" travel shocks. They are valved for the rear of a Ranger pickup. Unrebuildable. They are in excellent condition with the only damage a slight rub mark on one shown as in the pictures. I took them off my Explorer several years ago and they have been taking up space since then. I had them mounted for less than two years when removed, I would estimate less than 3,000 actual miles. I have some boots around here that I think go with these if you want them, but real off-roaders don't use shock boots. New, they are listed currently at $100 each. $100 a pair, or both pairs (4) for $175. I don't want to ship them, so local pickup or make your own arrangements for pickup and shipping. I go back and...
When I switched to a Red Head steering gear box, I returned my AutoZone box and got a new remanufactured unit under warranty. It's sitting on a garage shelf in the plastic bag it came with. A new reman unit from AZ is currently $175. I will sell this one locally for a crisp $100 bill. If you ever have a problem with it and need the warranty, contact me through the explorer forum PM and I will meet you, or give you my phone number the warranty is under so you can exchange it. Fits 1991-1994 Explorers, not sure about other vehicles but this is a common box for Ford trucks and vans of that era. I'm not going to ship this. Local to San Diego or Kingman, Arizona only please. I go back and forth between those two areas on a regular...
I have a 1998 Eddie Bauer Explorer that I will be parting out. I will start with any of the "gold" Eddie Bauer outer trim pieces. Pm me with what you need and I can price it plus shipping in the CONUS for now. There are a few interior trim pieces however for the most part, almost everything inside is broken. Near locals wanting body panels like door and hatch will have to pick up and bring your old door or hatch to put back on it because for now, I'm going to use it for storage in order to empty out my '92 and 97 MM. Let me know what you need. Greg in north Alabama. PS occasionally pieces could be shipped as far as Phoenix AZ.
Hi everyone. So I just missed out on a 4-door 5-speed in SC that I couldn't get down to fast enough, and I'm not finding any via normal channels (CL, Cars.com, etc...) so I figure I'll post and see what happens. I am looking for a first or second gen with a stick and 4 wheel drive. I know, I know, unobtanium. Second choice would be a Bauer or Limited (or a Mounty, for that matter) with a 302 and AWD. There's a nice Bauer in Harrisburg that I am knocking around but it's a 4.0, probably SOHC which I was trying to avoid, and the mileage is mediocre...165k... I'd prefer something in above average condition, I'm looking to be able to drive this on road--this doesn't mean that it can't be modded, as I would probably do the TT and 31's or...
No idea if it’s worth anything to someone to get it rebuilt or whatever. Just pay shipping from southern Wyoming. PM me if interested…

I am selling a kit form winch bumper for the second gen explorer. It bolts to the factory frame mounts that get some reinforcements added. You will need to provide the mounting hardware which is grade 8 bolts. You will also need to provide a 34.5" long piece of 2 inch square tube. This is a weld together kit. If ordered between now and April 5 it will be $250 shipped in the USA. After that I will have to see what steel prices are but it will be more. What you get: 20180326_141843 by Matthew Dresselhaus, on Flickr What will show up at your house: 20180326_163336 by Matthew Dresselhaus, on Flickr What the end product looks like: 20180214_135442 by Matthew Dresselhaus, on Flickr For more info see this thread. I have some valve cover reinforcement and support rails I made that add strength to the stock 4.0l OHV valve covers and distribute the clamping force to prevent common oil leaks. They come in raw steel and include hardware. $120 shipped to the 48 states for a pair EDIT: I am not selling VALVE COVERS, these are ONLY the rings that go around the outside to reinforce the sealing lip. I get messages all the time thinking these are the entire valve cover and they are not.
Here is everything you need to swap a manual transmission into a 02 or 03 (possibly late 01) Explorer Sport or Sport trac. I want to sell this complete and not part out as some of these items are very hard to get (like the EGR tube). All wires/plugs are good and everything was tested before removal. It all came from a 2003 sport with 88k miles. This all should make the swap completely bolt in. I will sell the "kit" minus the transmission as I'm sure someone interested might need a 4x4 trans. Swap kit $350 plus shipping($75-150) includes.... Steering column complete with 2 keys (only 1 key is programmed to computer) Shifter, boot and mount plate Engine and Trans wiring harness w/PCM Instrument cluster PRND21 delete Starter (manual...
I have a pair of overland awning mounts for the factory roof cross bars on a 1st Gen Explorer up for sale. Fits many of the basic awnings with the extruded aluminum mounting plate on the back like the ARB, Ironman, Napa, etc. $52 shipped in bare steel without hardware. (Pics show another pair of mounts I sold a few years ago, the mounts for sale are the same just not painted or with hardware)
I had thought that my 94 Exp had a factory limited slip in it. I purchased the Carbon fiber clutch kit for it. Now that I discovered I have a Detroit True Trac in it. Don't need it anymore. Brand new unopened. Factory Ford Performance part # M-4700-C 8.8 31 spline, factory in Shelby 500s $130 or BO shipped 48 states. picture of a brown box with a blue, black and white label available upon request. Thanks Tim
I have a couple of these brackets I made left that fit a NMO style antenna to the A-pillar and hood area of a 1st and 2nd Gen Explorer. I've been using it for about 2 years now and the antenna position works well. $25 shipped! Comes unpainted and without hardware. You will need a NMO mount also. Works best for HAM radios but I think you can probably get CB specific NMO antennas also.
