here I am at ATDC but even after a head job I havnt found my bur
one pid looks like the pie formula :/ ….the cam sensor or where the distributer used to be is not easily adjustable its still possible im off :/ mysterious drives the same as before head job degraded loss of oomph:/

the year brings synchronous fire mode from batch but im told the truck defaults to batch off the ignition module when the cam or devices make no sense ...also told without vacuum advance there is no passing power ive checked my hoses the tranny still shifts ok

...ive lost my edge :/ im taking the road regarding spark and timing were efficiencies are important to solve before rebuilding the bottom end or swapping out the motor

kinda like going to an ear nose and throat specialist.. were things that could go bump in the night could be the result of the flu or a bad tooth

the first pic is a TDC the second pic is at ATDC

I am not sure what you are asking, I have not had to make myself familiar with timing the 4.0L (yet), one process for finding TDC on any internal combustion engine I have always used is as follows.
To verify TDC, remove #1 spark plug, rotate crank CW until compression is felt throught the spark plug hole, then use some tool inserted into the park plug hole to watch the piston rise. There should be some mark or slot on the harmonic balancer, and a pad on the timing cover to indicate when the crank/rod/piston is at TDC . Once TDC is found, then any timing accessory can then be positioned according to make/model specific instructions.
I hope this helps.
What part of Fl are you in, Im on the central Gulf coast, (US 19)

The Crank Sensor signals the ignition timing and the Cam Sensor Signals the Injector timing. That is why 94's have the cam sensor to time the Sequential Fire Injection, pre 94 was Batch Fire Injection.

2 crank rotations to 1 cam what does your window look like at TDC and ATDC ???? the tutorial is to set the vane at the mark and stab the cam sensor at TDC assuming your on the compression stroke this is what my windows look like after back probing and setting the cam at the turn of 12volts at ATDC .had the valve covers off looking at the exhaust and intake springs on number 1 closed ….the sensor is pointing about 40 degrees tward passenger looks right???

I wish I could give you more help but mine went bad and I grabbed a 96 unit and pigtail from the junkyard. I used a guide found here to set the unit using a meter and that fixed my problem.
