2005 XLS Odometer Problem

Hello,

I apologize in advance if this has already been answered. I've been looking for an answer. I have a 2005 XLS with the digital message center. My problem is that while the odometer and trip meter are still lit, they are not registering any new mileage. Would the resoldering trick people have done work for this problem?

I bought the '05 new, and have put over 120K miles on it.

I was having the same problem with my display. I didn't have an issue with it being dim. Sometimes it was lit and sometimes it wasn't. Often times when lit, it wouldn't update.

I repaired the solder joints and now all is well.
