I have the automatic retractible running boards on my 2006 Mountaineer. As of this weekend they have quit working due to massive corrosion on the moving parts of the running boards.
I attribute this to the harsh winter that we just experienced in Illinois, but I did keep the vehicle washed on a weekly basis minimum, and most of the time it was more often than that. I have the ability to extend the running boards from the message center inside the vehicle which I did each time it went through the car wash.
Has anyone else had this problem with their ARB's?
