My truck has a clicking sound that sounds like a spark plug now. I took it for a spin and when put the pedal to the metal the engine misses and it just revs. Normal when just going like 25-30 mph. I Believe my engine is out of time bc I replaced the timing belt the other day and accidentally moved the sprockets. Now I did line up the exact mark on the cam sprocket to the mark on the inner belt cover and same with the oil pump. The crankshaft is on tdc. I am maybe 1/16th of an inch off the marks just because the belt won't let me get it dead nuts lined up. Is it possible that I'm not lined up at tdc even though my crankshaft pulley key is at 12 o clock? Where should I go from here to fix it? Any help is appreciated

Don't assume the key is at 12 o clock at TDC. It often isn't.
