Nice setup that you are going to have...Im also going to be doing close to what you are doing. What kind of lift are u getting for 5"? Awesome looking truck. So has your turning radius gone down quit a bit? Do you rub a lot with the 15x10's?

3" pa body, 2" donuts in the front, and Pro Comp springs in rear.

if you run this setup, it WILL NOT even come close to clearing the fenders with these tires / 15 x 10 wheels. its not just a bit off, its ALOT off.
I got the tires cheap, which started this whole project from an exploder with a bad trans......
stay tuned for more pices with more lift. Dual steering Stabilizer just arrived, along with SOA brackets from Brett, more on the way!

updated mods!

here are the Deflecta shield flares from a 97. you have to remove your mouldings from the 94's, as the door moulding doesnt line up with the flare, and the front fender moulding is in the way.

this is how i got them off of ebay, already painted by someone else in "mocha"
check out how they fit the rear tires..... :D :D

in the pics the front springs havent settled yet, so the fronts are still WAY out.
more pics to come in the future!

First Drive Ever

Picture this.... driving a lifted X down the road sitting on the floor (about 3 miles) with NO FRONT SEATS installed, to check everything out.

drove the truck for the first time ever last night. :D (it was bought with a bad trans, and we were waiting for a new one to be shipped.)

got it installed, and the fuel sender started spraying gas out of the top of the tank, due to rust hole in the sender line. (this has been leak free for 6 months)

dropped the tank, replaced sender / pump, then put it all back together......

to find out there is NO REVERSE. now the pan has got to come down, and hope its the spring, and not a broken band.
this is a fresh rebuild off of EBAY, and so far the company is backing it 100%.
for 870.00 delivered with a new converter and core charge included, im not going to complain yet.....

the tires rub slightly in the front on hard turns, (no surprise)but not as bad as i expected. i figured it would have to go higher before even being driven.

Flowmaster 50 series Deltaflow muffler and new exhaust sound great.
This Muffler is Great for an SUV, as it sounds good, but ISNT loud INSIDE.
(and i'm not a flowmaster fan anymore, i wanted to try a Magnaflow)

new windshield and wing window are in, and was ready for inspection until NO REVERSE.

Cant wait to get this thing on the road! :D :D

UPDATE: BAD TRANS, NEW REBUILD

parked next to a 2WD !!!

here it is on the road, kinda... (trans still isnt right, getting ready to just f'n rebuild it....)

parked next to a 2WD ex, (wish i had the front bumper!) :D :D

added another 4 in front with Tuff country setup (EZ Ride, which does ride great!)
and SOA in back, for a total of over 9 and 11 front and rear...

not sure on tires yet. I'll probably run the 33's until dead then swap rims and tires at that point by going bigger on both.

paint job should be done by then, which will kind of dictate wheel / tire combo....

It looks like it's just SLIGHTLY taller than the Blazer. :D Lookin good.

Thanks for the feedback, it makes all of the d@mned frame rivets worth it!!

im actually leaning towards making the F250 / 350 fullsize guys mad.....
38's on 20"s !!!!!!
(20's are relatively cheap now...... and they do look badass in Truckin!!!)

BTW sorry to be a poser.....
But this truck is street driven (no real rocks around here to climb)
The stock explorer drivetrain hasnt even proven itself to me on blacktop yet, let alone buried in clay around here)

im on trans number three after getting a bad rebuild off of the web, and is now rolling on a junkyard trans.

It is being laid out now for a full swap of Motor (V8) Trans (700r4) and transfer case. at that point, maybe ill consider playing!!!!!

still gotta lift the bumper up, however dont want to lose the step to get to the roof rack!!!!!!

the door flares are just held on with double sided foam tape, about 3/8" of an inch wide. its the same stuff that goes all the way around the top of the front / rear main flares....
(i wasnt real impressed, but they are staying put.)

they are deflecta shield flares from a 97 i got off of ebay.....

Looks good. That's a lot of lift. Good stuff though.

time for a front soa.... 11 inches of lift is a lot for only 33s..... fenderguy had 4" of lift and 35s with trimming

Front is 9 with 4 inch springs, and could still go higher with 6's.

everything aligns right, and the truck isnt used for climbing, so for street use, TTB is still OK with me. (until it breaks, of course.)

tires and wheels will get bigger !!!! :D :D :D
