I know I'll be getting a few KC Daylighters in the future (or similar stupid bright high power off road lights) for my exploder. I used to have a 2000 Wrangler and I had the light bar, two on the windshield hinge, and three in the front bumper inside the factory fogs. Its a sickness I know. I'm just curious to see where you guys have lights mounted and what/how you fabbed them up. Are there any kind of aftermarket mounts made for our trucks? Is it easier to make my own? (Made one for my buddies blazer) Thanks :navajo:

I only have two and they are on the front bumper. I just drilled the two holes for them and bolted them up. The wires go through the grill. This is the best picture I have that I could find right now.

Nice freakin rig dude, Its what mine aspires to be :D Here she is as she sits right now

I think I will try two in the bumper to start, then fab a bar for the top and throw 4 up there

I'm not sure how "thick" the KC lights are compared to mine. so you might have to move the bumper as far forward as you can to they don't hit the grill.

Oh and thanks.

Here's what the light setup on my X use to look like:

2 100w KC DayLighters and 2 2" 55w driving lights (anyone know where I can find another set of these?)
There mounted on a modified Pro Comp Universal light bar.

Right now my X looks like this:

If I can find another set of the small lights I'll put everything back on (except the bumper, Golden Crack did it in)

The pic below is of Hella 500's on a Grizzly Oval brush guard. For wiring and additional info check out my Hella 500 Install thread.

well here is how i spent the day

got some $10 fogs from harbor freight and went to town, I removed the lower plastic thing from the bumper first and used the existing holes for fogs

Testing first picture then I will post more

My switch mounting spot

Then we did one other project haha

It doesnt drone at all im very happy with the outcome.

Next step: TIRES!

do the pics work

I guess it's too late now, but a nice place to mount thin fog lights is in the slots in the bumper, like this:

I've got a closer up shot of it, but its high resolution and huge. With the wider lights you can cut that vertical plastic piece out of the slot and put them in there.

I'd be afraid to damage them on my rig.. BTW it looks like you wired the switch through the door and not the fire wall; If so you need to make sure the wires don't get pinched and short out.. otherwise the setup and the muffler are looking good.. did you have to bend any pipes to get the muffler to tuck up in the frame? Sometimes the stock pre bent pipes allow the muffler to sit too low...

Opi, hope you don't plan on getting it inspected. All vehicles need the exhaust to exit outside the body. SUV's and cars especially!!!
