There you go being sneaky again.

go here and pause at 1min 39 seconds.
Another shot at 2min 16 sec

This doesn't look easy to do, but its another option (Way out of my fabrication skill set).

yea thats whats his faces truck, cant remember his name but he sold it and someone in FL bought it,maybe Phix.hahha.see to me that setup is backwards, think the belt wrap should be on the other side.look at his ac and how little belt wrap is on that and the side its on isnt the problem as the belt goes straight down to the tensioner pulley anyways

o and not being to sneaky as its been listed in my signature for awile now;)

ah, a bit of a squirt never hurts. I think it would hurt my motor though.

I agree with what you are seeing on that pulley wrap.
Id sure like to see a few easy mounting points for a chunk of aluminum that I could mount a pulley to. Maybe next week I can spend some time on it.

i still think that one i posted would be easiest for you and give the most belt wrap.the more i look at it for my motor the more i think it will hit my iac,you have plenty of room there so.i may just have to order it and see.im going to rum w/m all the time and a very small shot of nos when i just wanna have fun,im also building a air box with a snorkel to get temps down.then i have a set of light 33'' street tires and im off for retune

Get temps down? Your already at ambient air temp. Im jealous.
I won't do anything for a pulley yet, and if the one you order is too much of a pain in the a$$ to make fit, I'll buy it from you.

For me, cut it down, and relocate my coil pack and I'm good to go. Im just being lazy these days. Summers are prety busy with home stuff.

well after going out and looking AGAIN,i think im going back to my idea of using the two bolts holes for my old ac and putting a idler pulley there.i just dont have room to use the belt wrap kit i was going to.there really is nothing there for you to bolt to if you have ac:(i have some square tube at my work that i should be able to just cut and thread the end of it for a pulley and it sit something like this

o for the record the iac is backwards in this pic,i know that

no im running around 120-130ish on a 90* day but my temps coming in are higher than ambient,110*ish.i wanna get the incoming temps down to ambient and the output lower than ambient:Dyea i hear you,see last post.you shouldnt need to relocate your coil pack, just cut and tap.but like you said i wouldnt even worry about it till you start feeling or seeing affects from it,if you even do

I like the quick and easy approach you are looking at for the pulley JD. Looks like quite a bit more wrap.

without going into to much detail in your thread,i think i solved my belt slip.still need two NEW belts AGAIN:eek:more info and pics in my thread;);)

so don came by today to pick up some rims off me, and to show me the monster he created. the throttle response on this truck is insane, and thats no lie, and pulls pretty damn hard for a 4300lb truck. i have no doubts if he lines up with my 5L sport, i would be in for a spanking. very nice work don.

Thats what i like to hear!!;)lol i wanna see that race:)

We will see what happens. I think Tim's truck is faster, as it pulls really, really hard as the rev's climb.
I'm committed to going to the track next month with the boys and am trying to talk Tim in to coming along. Its going to be a lot of fun.

One buddy has already offered up the use of his trailer to get my truck back home. Lets hope I don't need it.

and am trying to talk Tim in to coming along.

if i have nothing going on when you go, the conversation will more then likely go something like this

*don* "tim, we're headed to the track, was wondering..."

*me* "ya, i'm in! :burnout:" as you were able to tell by the burn out i did a block away from my house! lol

From what I get out of this, Saturday is the day I need to be at the track.
I'll have to make some calls and figure this out.

geez, I havn't even found a quiet chunk of pavement to practice doing a good burnout yet. Hmm, brake stand in 2wd Hi (brown wire)? Maybe 4 lo with brown wire (2 lo?) a bit of brake, and on the gas?? Im going to have to play a bit.

No 2low!god no!!reg 2 hi!!i start in 1st and shift to second.you should have no problem lighting them up.don't melt your tires tho,you shouldn't need that much heat in them!!

another thing don, i dont know if you have ever been down the track ever, but what ever you do, dont wait for the green light. when the tree drops, leave on the very last yellow before the green, or your reaction times will suck.

Yea i always watch every run before me and get a rhythm down.i would practice at every red light for weeks before.;)

Ya, 2 lo might be a bit mch.
Last time I went down a track, I was 18 yrs old with a 1976 TransAm with a 455 in it. Seems like a lifetime ago. I don't remember much about it. All tips appreciated.

Sorry about your back Tim. I just called a few guys, and they are all working, or heading out to cotages. How am I going to get video of this? Hmmm... I'll find someone.

Tomorrow I'll call there and find out what I need to know. I can borrow a helmet, but I doubt my times will be low enough to need it.
