supercharged 5.0 true fire 98 explorer sport

I'm acctually running 2 PCV valves on mine, one in the valve cover and one in the back of the stock intake. I noticed just last night that mine was out, but wasn't sure if it was like that or from me taking the fuel rails off. Even before all the talk of poping out PVC valves I was like, wow that thing sure is loose in there. But I can hardly believe that my crank is getting pressurized with has much ventilation as I'm giving it.

not a lot new lately. afn is a tad over a month away, and i am freaking out cause i am running out of time to get evil ready for both the drive, and show, and mother nature is not cooperating in the least bit.
i noticed i small amount of detonation running down the highway. when at cruising speed, if i snapped it to WOT it would detonate. james sent me another file to try. was talking to don the other day, and for whatever reason he had said his wasnt so bad now that it started to warm up here. well, low and behold, evil is doing the same. a tiny amount, but not as bad as it was, so i am going to leave the file i had in it and see what happens
speaking of motors, evils heart has now been transplanted. when i had to swap all the parts from the old motor over to evils, i couldn't believe how clean it was.

when i finished putting her motor into the truck it was going in, and started it, i forgot how well it ran before i pulled it. i had thought i heard some timing chain rattle in it before i pulled the motor out, but i must have been hearing things, cause it has none now.
and here is what evils heart is in now

as well as, its official. evil IS a v8 truck

i forgot to change the registration on it. wanted to do that in case a smart ass'd vehicle inspector got hold of me.
also bumped into my old neighbor tonight. i bliped the throttle because he didnt know i had a blower now. his face dropped. i then took him for a ride.....hope i get the smell of poop out if it, lol

i need posi in the worst way....

lol. Nice job Tim. Now you can focus on Evil again!

Pssst.....:shifty_ey

There is a detroit locker for sale here for $400. :burnout:

pssst.......theres a SPARTAN LOCKER Part # SLF8831 for sale on rockauto for $250 ;)

so what happens when you want to go for coffee 3 hours away from where you live? you run into another forum member who also wants to go for coffee that lives 8 hours away from his place!

thats right folks, evil met pickle (built and owned by simon, aka blueka), and also the person that helped out a lot when i was doing the v8 swap

was good to see him again. we met up at a coffee shop near where he was.....um si....what are you doing......

oh crap! did i leave the keys in the......

yea, i did.

all joking, as i said, he helped me when i did the swap. i have a little rule. who ever helps me out, lots, gets free rain of evil.
next thing you know, they both start posing like they are supermodels!

was a great day. got to take evil for a test drive before leaving for AFN next month, got to see pickle for the first time, not to mention the only other known 2nd gen v8 sport in canada (those that have been living under a rock for the last 3 years, here's the thread http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=271813) and got to hang out with simon for the day. was a blast seeing you again after all these years, we will need to do this sooner. also thanks for the parts si, my butt be happy again!
also, you did one hell of a job with pickle. you would think it came like that from factory (or it should have IMO). i think you did a better swap then i did, thats no lie either! great job bud!

Excellent, that was a great coffee you had. Cool pictures too,

Sounds like you have fun. I need to meet some explorer people around here.

I here ya on that wish you guys were all closer especially all the v8 sport guys!

so last week i deciede to start getting evil ready for her what now seems like yearly trip to PA, for all ford nationals. 5 hours of my life i will never get back, but she looks like this now

those rafters are around 12 feet above my head btw.

another thing i wanted to do was get the drive shafts redone. i sold the sport trac on the weekend, so i had a little cash to spare

a f150 short box 4x4 drive shaft i bought last year while i was in philly. here, 300, there, 50 SCORE! got it cut and balanced. as well as i took the front one it for them to check out because i always had a wicked vibration in it. turns out when they shorten it, the put it back together out of phase, and fixed it under warranty. put them both back in. i still have a slight vibration in it, but nowhere near what it was. and that vibration is around 120 kms btw (around 75mph which we cant do up here anyway........well legally that is >:] ). but it has the somewhat normal "roaring" noise that some guys have that have the 4406 case.
so with that said, other then a fast vacuuming, she is basically ready for the trip down to carlisle........i hope.....

That's awesome too! I used to detail cars, so I know what it takes to clean one up and buff etc. You do have to have a great paint job first, after great body work.

I'm going to have my Lincoln painted first, but I need to mix(make up) a custom paint color first. It's time to do it, nice weather and it's time to do it.:(

well, the blue for the flames is PPG vibrant blue. thats it. if i am not wrong the vibrant line is ppg's answer to house of kolors, which if you have ever had to buy that paint, its big dinero, where the ppg is way less, and it also has "pop" to it.

Nice work Tim- Evil looks bangin'

Nice work Tim- Evil looks bangin'

thanks joe! getting a complement like that from you, is like having the detailing gods giving me the thumbs up! lol. yes, i looks way better now. that and when i think back to what that idiot contractor did to it (getting stucco all over it, then laying a nice canvas tarp on it ) i never thought it would look again without either wet sanding it, or repaint. neither which i wanted to do.

I bet you could to a pretty wicked Dukes of Hazard slide across that super shine...
