Do you have a 2dr or 4dr? It may be pretty capable, but that's not comparable at all really. The explorer is much heavier than the sami and not geared even close, and has a lot less ground clearance.

No experiece with them, but I haven't seen any bad revies on them yet. Check out radflo. They are pretty cheap for brand new.

It's flat on the bottom, so it seems unnecessary IMO. I've never been hung up on mine. :dunno:

Go IZ style and get rid of the grill all together!! :p: It doesn't seem too bad at the bottom of the frame like that. For the bumper, I say make a bolt on like IZ did. That's my plan.

You won't be able to fix this unless you gear WAAAY down, get a new transfer case at least 4:1 or lower or get a different trans. The automatic trans' first gear is not even close to low enough.

A lot of people are really happy with their Aussies. I had a Tru-trac in my old one with 35s and it did great. I also have one in my current one. Love it.

Yes, it's a good thing you didn't go with 4.10s like you originally wanted.

I would say, see if you can find a complete engine (running of course) to just swap. That would make life a lot easier IMO. They can be found for $300-$700 on craigslist or check a junk yard. Welcome to the site. :thumbsup: EDIT: check race-dezert.com too...

I found an air horn in the shed... I mounted the compressor where the stock single horn was. Then I found two holes in the bumper to mount the horns. This was one of the easier installs of air horns for me. It took about 20 minutes from taking the grill off to putting the grill back on.

I'll have to ask my uncle (service writer for toyota) and see if he has heard anything about this. That's crazy! Like ld50 (it's an L) said, 107 so far. I wonder how many haven't seen that thread yet and posted. :eek:
