Solid Axle Swap??
Rick does that price include, the locker, hubs, and all brake parts attatched? Also is there some place you could post the number or website for the company you bought it from. I would like to start thinking about doing this same mod here someday. I am sure others would find it helpfull also...- rpenner54

NEED HELP DESPERTLY
hmm... Well What do you mean when you say you cut your brake line? You should have some new lines to install in their place so then you can put your rear back in. As far as the front goes, try ripping out everything up there drop the axle, and see if the part they sent you will work. If not...- rpenner54

Mazda Trans @%&#@
Uhh... If you are going 20-30mph in reverse and throw it in first no wonder you have had so many problems! If you stop to think about what you did, it would make sense. You basically took a moving object that probably weight over 3500 lbs stoped the motion of it, right away, and tried to make...- rpenner54

Get this?
Another option would be to take off the stock fender flares, hack out the fenders, stick the stock fender back on. With the right off-set wheel this would work pretty okay. 97 awd v8
I have to say something is screwed up big time! I would almost say you might want to take it in to a car shop that is not dealer related and see what they say. My mom has a 97 AWD 5.0 Explorer and it drives very nice, no thunkin or anything like that. I would say that as far as the MPG go...- rpenner54

Come on Guys! Help me out here.
You probably should not be using your 4wd unless your are in snow or off-road. I think most of those sounds you are hearing are the tires fighting each other. If this is happening off-road then I would recomend looking at your U-Joints. Usually you get some front end sounds when turning in...- rpenner54

New Stereo
Hey everyone, I just bought a new Sony CDX-U6260 with changer control, and I do not have a manual for it. I really don't have to have one, but would like to have one. Also when I was bypassing the stock amp I broke those little plastic body bolts that are so easy to break. Does anyone know of...- rpenner54

New Superlift Axle Pivot Brackets
I have had this bracket for a number of months now. It works rather well, I can't hit my diff at all with it. It also looks to me to be a whole lot stronger and better built then the plate that originally came with my lift. I know that there are a few versions of this bracket out there, I...- rpenner54

2.5" or 4"
Well it depends, I think it is very dependent on your setup. Trace ran 32x11.5 Muds on his 2.5" James Duff lift, I belive he only rubbed on the front shock when turning (dual shocks). Paul Sabin ran 31's on his but I am sure he could have fit some 32's under it. I think its all a matter of...- rpenner54

Tailgate struts
Struts all do that when it is cold out. The worst ones I had were on a topper that I had on an F150. What is best price on SuperRunner Bracket Kit?
It has been a while since I have looked into what is included in that kit, but that doesn't sound to bad. If you list out the items in that kit we can...- rpenner54

2wd lift?
The 5.5" lift is a pretty decent lift for the 4wd Explorers so making one happen for a 2 wheel drive shouldn't be to hard. For the rear, I would recomend using the superlift system for a 4x4 truck. For the Front, I would say use the superlift coils, dropped pitman arm, supper runner stearing...- rpenner54

Valve-cover leaks
I hate to say it, but I have the same problem and it is not as simple as just swapping them out. You almost have to remove your A/C system, and lots of other stuff just to get to them. Arizona Run January 15-17
Hey Rick here is a neet thought. If we get enough people down there for this run. Vibration introduce after Superlift
Joe, My front driveshaft needs to be rebuilt. When driving in 4x4 mode I get a REAL nasty sound coming from my truck. I think its because the CV cannot be greased and gets dry. Mabey we should ride in each others and compare? ------------------ Ryan Penner 1992 Explorer Sport- rpenner54

Trailmaster lift for '98-00' ???
Well I have to be honest with you. Superlift's 5.5" lift kit for the Explorer with all options plus good shocks costs over $2000. For that matter most lifts that are high are quite expensive. Flowmaster vs Dynomax vs borla???
Well I think that a custom burned chip made to your specs is differnt then going to a store getting one off the shelf and putting it in. Future Arizona or Moab Run?
Well I know that lots of people probably have some kind of Y2k deal going on with their work. So that is my reasoning for bringing up the dates that I did. RS9000's
Yeah, these are the numbers Dick Cepek gave me to use. 9179, and 9185 I am not sure which is the front or back, but that really does not matter because once you unpack them you can tell right away. 1998 Lift Kit! YOU HEARD ME!
I have to agree with Mat R on the point of having something custom made is sometimes better. Rancho 5000
Well I have to agree that having a soft ride on the trail is nice for a couple of reasons. 1. You don't get bounced around all the time. 2. You can accually go home feeling relaxed instead of sore.
