id use a 302 from a explorer and maybe mod it out, keep things simple (thats what i was planning). Then after i got it working, id drive it for awhile, and maybe do a full engine build up down the road like section did. thats the path id take if i were you, get the stuff working first.

Well now that I have totalled my vehicle im trying to see if I can salvage some of the money i spent on my parts by getting them shipped back to IL. I think altogether the parts weigh 1000 lbs, I got a quote from Conway for about $900, any other places I can get shipping cheaper? Thanks! Jason:(

Todd, If you play your cards right you can get it done within a few thousand dollars. 1-2k. You need a cheap donor vehicle though, heck section even made money off his swap!

yeah but the donor car wont have all the parts you need, best bet is to find a rolled explorer or mounty like someone said, they have everything for sure, including driveshaft and awd components
