    Need help re-installing front diff

Already thought of the same thing, I even pulled everything apart and reinstalled it, even after that I still had the same problem. I think I'm just gonna run it, I got everything to line up enough to get it put back together.

    8.8 Detroit locker removal

I'm looking for some info on how to remove a Detroit locker in my rear end. I figured out how to remove the cross pin shaft, but cannot seem to get the axles pushed in far enough to remove the c clips. I even put 3 clamps on the brake drum to keep the axles in. I only need like another...

    Need help re-installing front diff

I need some advice on putting my front diff back in place. I just rebuilt the diff with all new bearings/seals/races and installed a set of 5:13gears and a Detroit truetrac LSD. After I bolted the front pumpkin up to the beam, I went to go slide in the driverside axle. It fits in there just fine...

well I might be at it again...

hey guys, as some of you may remember a few years back i was wondering how long my dana 35 ttb was going to last on my 38.5" boggers. I recently purchased some 5:13 nitro gears after tearing into my front diff last night to replace what i thought was just going to be bearings and install a...

dana 35 limited slip, or locker??

So what do you guys think? Will the truetrac work, will it not work? I read about a guy on therangerstation that he was running one up front unmodified for years and it worked flawlessly, but then other guys saying the gears have to be switched around. Ugh, so much info, I never know who to...

dana 35 limited slip, or locker??

Heres the link to 4wheelparts... It says that the truetrack LSD is for rear axle applications only.. Is that true? http://www.4wheelparts.com/Drivetrain-Differentials/Dana-35-TrueTrac.aspx?t_c=12&t_s=237&t_pt=101501&t_pl=5459&t_pn=EAT912A569

Alright, thanks guys for all the responses. I was leaning toward an LSD anyway, looks like that will be the choice I go with. It's cheaper anyway.

Hey guys, im thinking of trying to take my explorer to the next level (without going any bigger just yet) and was wondering what everyones opinions were on what type of carrier to go with. My front diff is currently open and my rear has a detroit ez locker, and i absolutely love it. Would...

    anyone remember me?

Sorry i havent posted anything in a while, my explorer has been sitting for over 2 years now and i just got her running yesterday! She fired right up with no issues! dana 35 on 38.5x15in boggers

Honestly t doesnt rub that bad on the radius arms, it does a litte bit on the sway bar though. but it really depends on what offset your wheels are, mine are -44. the further you push the tires out, the less problems you should have. Are you planning to run 38.5s on a dana 35, or do you have a sas?

    dana 35 on 38.5x15in boggers

Yes, the tires rub when the suspension flexes out, more so in the back than in the front. Not to mention that I still have not tackled the 3in body lift yet and am still only on a 5.5in suspension lift, guess Im just lazy:D. But Ill get around to it, Ill need to if Im gonna try to fit 39.5's...
