When I got it (free mind you), the transmission slipped very badly. I checked the fluid and noticed it was VERY foamy. A quick filter change fixed that issue, but one still remained, it doesn't want to shift from 2-3. It shifts into every other gear beautifully.
When taking off, it will shift from 1-2 perfect, then it just kind of gets stuck in second until I let off the gas a little bit, it then loses all power for a moment and finally slips into 3rd (very smoothly, not hard). Alternatively if I don't let off the gas, it will eventually bang into 3rd.
There is no delay when going from P to D to R and the O/D Off light never comes on (the light does work). The fluid that came out didn't look or smell burned and there wasn't a great amount of metal (except the usual bit on the magnet).
I'm wondering if it isn't a bad gasket or maybe a bad solenoid pack. What do you guys think?
