A buddy has a 1975 Ford 350 one ton. Some one tried to steal it and messed with the wiring. I can locate a Chiltons manual or anything of sort. Need to get a wiring diagram or schematic. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Red= Hot. Black = ground Sorry dont have any of my old auto manuals. What part did they mess with the ignition key area? If so there should be 4 wires hooked to it. A= 12v constant
B= Accesories
C= Run
D= Starter

Test the wires and see what do what and label them. when the key is off nothing should be connected. Whne the key is in the accesory position. Just the accesory will be gettin power. when in the run position. The run wire and accesory wire shold be getting power. When in the start position the run and starter positions should be getting power. Also make sure that run in getting power when the key goes between the run and start position. If not then as soon as you let of the starter the truck will die cause the spark will go away. Sorry I cant help you on color of wires.

Thanks RR. He has the ignition working its all the lights that wont work. I haven't looked at it but I was hoping to just get him the info and he could fix it.

The head lights I belive are on the 12 constant circut so they should get power all the time. Did you check all the fuses Could have blown one when they were trying to steel it. On my dads 75 f250 we have dash light problems and people have said its the switch is going out but I have nver done any trouble shooting to figure it out.
