1988 Ranger Lift Q's

Im gonna take on another project. My 1988 ranger is gonna start getting modded as well as my explorer. My question is what are my options for lifting it??? Its a 2wd so i was thinking an AAL and shackles in the rear, but what about the front??? I know the suspension is nothing like my explorer's so i need some advice from the experts.

i would stay away from any type of longer coils/spacers because of the camber angles...unless you get I beam drop brackets...the front suspension you have is called Twin Traction Beam,TTB....shackles,blocks,or AAL would be fine in the rear. do a search on the TTB lifts it will help.-Joe

go towads something with extended or equal length beams, i believe you can get some bent beams for pretty cheap.

if your looking at going cheap just get some 2wd drop brackets. if your looking for something midrange get some bent beams. then if you want to spend the dough go for extended/equal lenth coilover

I actually want a good long travel kit. Im now looking at some deavers for the rear, and not really sure on the front yet but i want a functional prerunner style suspension. Its actually gonna see some jumps and some good air when im done so i want some good strong parts in it. Gonna chaeck out camburg to see if they do anything for those year rangers.

Thanks Froader i just looked at those. Just wondering which one to get lol. If i can get my explorer back together today i might go check some things out. Im actually leaning towards the third one...
