Thanks Mike65 ! my Explorer started leaking trany fluid the other day, its leaking from the servo cover closest to the front.
from what I've been able to find thats the overdrive servo? The snap ring that holds the cover in place was half way out.
I tried to push the cover back inwards to re snap the lock ring in but couldn't here it snap into place. I don't think it locked in, its not sticking half way out anymore but it still leaking. It seems to drive in forward ok but when I try to back up its like the
brakes are on. Just trying to figure out whether or not if I was able to remove the servo cover and get it back in correctly that
would solve the problem with reverse?
