Crank sensor. Try disconnecting it, clean connections. tap sensor with screwdriver handle. Might help.

Icm is mounted to the header panel, passenger side

Thank you Turdle. I replaced the crank sensor. Thinking I will replace the ICM next unless there is a way to test it first?

Ignition control module is located on the drivers fender skirt behind drivers headlight it is part of the wiring harness little
Black box about 4”x6”

Before replacing parts you should do some simple testing
With the key turned to the run position do you have battery power at the red wire at injector?
This tells us if the fuses pcm relay and diode are sending power to all ignition components or not

Thank you 410. With the key in the run position I do not have power at the red injector wire. I only checked one because the other five are buried under the intake manifold.

Perfect

You won’t have spark until you have power there

Power at this red wire is sent from
The eec relay when it’s powered up by the key
That wire feeds many engine sensors and the injectors, ignition coil pack, etc

A little diagnostics keeps you from buying un needed parts!

So there is a eec fuse that feeds the eec/pcm relay with battery power
There is the ignition switch in your steering column that then power up / triggers the eec relay… power is sent through a fuse in the dash and then through the diode and then to the relay

You now need to test those sides of the eec relay
Also check the grounds

You will need to see the 94 wiring diagrams for your power dist box so you can check at the relay

I bet your check engine light is not illuminating with the key on

One forum member had a wire rubbing on something near the battery tray which caused no spark.

The check engine light does illuminate with the key on. I do have a service manual with wiring diagrams. I'll study it and see what I can figure out.
I totally agree that diagnosis beats parts switching but these electronic ignition systems are a mystery to me. Never had to work on one before. I'm a dinosaur. What is an eec/pcm?

Thank you Josh. I pulled the battery and checked all of the wiring. Seems to be ok.
