1994 Explorer XLT

I just bought my 94 XLT after my Honda was stolen. Oh well, I've grown out of those toys and I want to get into the big stuff now.

I do have one question; this is the first vehicle (of many) I have owned in which the odometer consists of five digits. How is this read? Mine is 084xx. For the year and condition, I wouldn't believe it to be 8400 miles; perhaps annotated for 80,000 miles?

Thanks. I have to do quite a bit of mechanical work on it before I can make it as snazzy as some of the rigs I see on here.

Welcome to this forum! I'm sure that it has to be 84K miles although it looks like it's in great condition.

yea its most likely 108,400 my friend has an odometer with 5 digits (stupid idea in my opinion lol) and when he rolled over 100k he just pulled out his trusty label maker and put a 1 in front of it

I would go with ONE HUNDRED and 8K. None the less, it should have alot of life left. Welcome to Explorer Forum!
