The hoses i think are broken, when I fill up the fluids and hit the breaks it just all squirts out. I still have front brakes, sound safe enough to drive 20minutes to get it to the shop?

I wouldn't recommend it. You will still have front brakes, but they are not easy to control. I have had that happen and the front brakes were hard to keep from locking up.

Sounds like wheel cylinders. easy to do for a DIYer. Squirts out from where?
Did you pull off the Drums and look?
Driving it. If you could chug it down the road without pissing anyone off then I might do it. Any major roads then I wouldn't.

As others have stated, start with the rear wheel cylinders. If it's a bad leak, you should see it on the backing plates. Also, check the rear flex line and the across the axel metal line.

disc brake prop. valve. maybe..

does anyone know if it could be a disc brake proportioning valve problem? mines leaking and before i replaced my master cylinder my rear brakes kept locking up when i applied the brakes.. it just started happening and all my brake fluid leaks all the way out. i didnt even know anything about the disc brake proportioning valve until i saw where it was leaking and looked it up, oh , and its leaking at the top where a plug/vent is, i took that out and there is a spring backing it.. well, i guess my question is, is that something i can fix w/o replacing the whole thing($230.00+).. probably not the same thing ya'll are talking about and i should of posted a new thread, but i thought i ask.. 91 TEXplorer

if you're pulling apart the rear brakes anyway, you might as well replace the body-axle flex line and the on-axle hardlines. they're cheap and prone to failure. I replaced all the lines on my truck just to be safe, all of them together were less than $75
