Hello all, looking for guidance on replacing the driver's side CV axle on my 96 with AWD. I can find lots of youtube videos showing how the right side axle attaches to the differential axle tube and how the female end of the CV axle slides off the male end and is tapped off, but the pictures of the left side axle replacement part show a male end with a circle clip which must slide into a female end on the diff housing, yes? My question is: how does the male end of the axle attach? The circle clip makes me think it's there to hold the axle in the diff, which might mean getting inside the diff to remove the clip before the axle slides out? I can find no indication of how the male end is held in place. Thanks in advance.
