I noticed a dangling hose underneath my ford explorer but can't find where it goes. If anyone can identify it would be greatly appreciated. I search throughout the area where it was dangling and could not find where it goes. I'm on my wits end.

Please see attached image.

Is that a bolt in the end?

There’s dozens of hoses. You’re gonna have to add more info. Is your vent hooked to the front diff if you’re 4wd? Transfer case?

What motor?

its not a bolt but its like a plastic cap and air can escape from that end. Was thinking part of a heater hose but could not find anything missing.

the Engine is a 4.0L V6

Looks like front diff breather hose.
Thank you! I found the long nipple to connect to. I take it the other end is a one way breather and can be attach high enough so water can't get to it?

Make sure the breather works/is clear
