ok so about a week ago i was driving down the street. stopped at a stop sign and my car would not move. it tries to move but then does not. had transfer case rebuilt about 2 years ago. was doing some reading on the electronic transmissions for explorers and read something about a "cripple/limp" mode and then the o/d off starts flashing on the dash. which is what mine is doing. have asked a few people and they seem to think the clutches inside the transmission have burned up. but from what ive been reading about 95-98 explorers is it could be the torque converter or a speed sensor behind solenoid. i know nothing about transmissions. was hoping somebody could help me out. started a new thread as every post ive read seems to not be my problem.
