Yeah, Had to. I'm the guy who cooks the turkey on Thanksgiving. But we are getting closer on the EX. Think I'll get the injectors and plenum on tomorrow.

Only until the tryptophan from the turkey overwhelms him and he has to take a power nap, only to then be revitalized to go work on it some more!
hahahaha! Exactly!!

^^
Got to think that's pretty damn close to the truth
This guy is killing it!
Thanks for the compliment, I expect that the EX project will be done in two weeks. We will see.

In the 2 -3 hours the bird is on, maybe you could R&R the 3rd member and balance the rotating assembly?

Hahahah! You're killing me! Maybe I could, but the EX isn't at my house. Guess my wife is lucky ;)

No pics from today. However I pressure washed the junkyard Ford floor mats, the wheels, battery tray and the under cover that goes under the radiator and condenser. Floor mats were really dirty. They look pretty good now.

Fuel rail and new injectors installed.

Nice work restoring the Explorer. We just purchased a new Bronco Sport for my wife so I get her 99 Explorer Sport that needs a new headliner, & I was wondering were you got the material to recover the headliner?.

The material I used this time I ordered on Amazon. I’ve purchased headliner material locally at Joann fabrics as well. Both very nice products.

Throttle body installed. Also replaced the pigtail for the cam sensor. The original one was wasted. Heater hoses are replaced. Won't connect those to the core until the AC box is back in.

I feel pretty good about the progress today. Trying to be smart about the reassembly. Trying to make sure we get all the details along the way so I don't get stuck having to deal with something later that would be easy now. Tomorrow we will rout the plug wires as nice as we can. Then the AC box can go back in. Then once I install the new AC compressor I think I can get everything else in rather quickly. We will see.

Two questions for anyone reading. 1) Anyone have pictures of the stock plug wire routing? 2) Anyone have pictures of the stock routing of the vacuum lines that come off the vacuum globe/ball in the passenger fenderwell?

Hard to find part number for you

I like your idea for a solution, however, I wonder why Ford provided 2 large vacuum sources for PCV under the plennum.

I may have some armrests that would help you out. I'll get some pics tonight & also pics of plugs & vac lines if no one else chimes in sooner.

Very cool thanks!

Thanks, I did see that part. But I didn't order it because I thought I'd be done sooner than now. It was more important to get the plenum back on yesterday than wait. I wondered that as well about the two vac sources. Maybe the engineers wanted to be sure there was little crankcase pressure.
