I have been chasing this issue for some time. Here is a list of everything that has been replaced:
All new ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings right side half shaft, brake pads and rotors. It had a new rack and pinion put in about 15000 miles ago. Tires have been checked and balanced...good there.
After getting this all done...still have vibraton thru the pedal under braking. Could the back brakes be the culprit? It is the only thing i havent replaced in the driveline. Any ideas would be helpful

only because you put on new front rotors does not mean they are true, or, you could of warped them already. i would take them off and get them turned for starters. i would not think a warped rear rotor could be felt in the pedal. possibly, but i have never encountered it.

I cant beleive that new rotors would be bad out of the box...i was tOld that turning them was worthless and hell it was only like 15 bucks more just to buy new. I hav gone thru and checked all the torque specs...jut baffled

My OEM Ford calipers were causing my X to do the same thing till I replaced them. Also, if you have a 4x4 have the hubs been replaced. I've heard the mounting surface can become out of round or the bearings get loose.

Yes it absolutely could be the rear! I had a rear that was bad for quite a while. You could just feel a slight pulse in the pedal while braking. Never fixed it, I didn't want the hassle of playing with the parking brake.

Abs?

Sounds to me like maybe the ABS is going bad. Depending on the shaking you speak of. I had this problem until my ABS unit died now its gone.

The calipers are the only thing i havent adressed....but the pads are wearing evenly...the pulse i feel is just in the pedal....it does nothing to the steering wheel. I may just replace everything on the back and see what happens

You can always unplug the ABS and take a test drive to rule that out rather than throwing parts at it.

How are the brake lines. Are they twisted or do they show any signs of softness or wear?
