Yep i only had brake lights if i slammed on them or pushed hard but light braking i had no lights at all

Good video. My uncle might deal with the same issue on his new incoming Explorer project. It's in the shop for the installation of the new brake pads and tires plus the alignment. We'll take a closer look at it tomorrow.

So this is same issue I am having. I have replaced the switch with a genuine motorcraft, and it is still doing it. I noticed it works fine when the car is off, but when I start it, the brake lights dont work unless you are aggressive with them. Seems to be when the truck is running and booster has vacuum, it not putting as much force on the switch if that makes any sense? I am at a loss here. I did order a new plastic bushing, but cant really see that helping.
