Okay, so, driving a stock 99 Explorer XLT, 4X4, SOHC Vin E, and I am going to replace the hubs. I've been checking the prices for the Timken Hubs, part number SP450200. RockAuto price is $104 each. Autozone price is $212 each for the same hub. Am I missing something here or is it just Autozone gouging us on pricing? Damn!

If they are both timken then autozone is just milking you

Autozone also sells fuel pumps for $310.00
I purchased an Autozone Full Hub assembly a few years ago in desperate need... it blew up in 3,000 miles :p:
You can't go wrong with the Timkens!

Welcome to the forums!

also look up on ebay motors my hubs were like $200 at napa, autozone but on ebay motors i only paid $43 per hub with one year warrenty and free shipping. just an idea

Thanks Turdle for the info. Guess I know where I'm gonna get my hubs now! Great price for two hubs!

Thanks 1AJeremyD for a great video! Seems like a pretty straight-forward replacement.

Stay far away from autozone hubs, I bought one in an emergency and got about 4,000 miles out of it before it was grinding badly.

Thanks EMG7895! Will do. It's going to be either the Timkens (quality) or 1A Auto (best warranty)! I figure I can't go wrong either way
