2001 Sport won't start, clicking noise

When I try to start my truck, it sound like it turns the engine... then it stops and then sounds like it turns it again then starts a fast clicking sound. ANy help on what this might be? Thanks in advance!

dead battery/bad battery terminals

Clicking is a classic sign of not enough voltage to the starter relay.

Have you tried a jump start?
have your battery tested.

Thank you guys, I am gonna go with your advice and have it jumped. Then we will see what it is then. It sounds like you guys are right, I was thinking the same thing as well... battery jumped into my mind... but, I got worried for my baby! Thanks for now!

yea it shoudl be the battery...since mines been sitting for a while, my battery died. i jumped it off a jeep today and it started right up.
