2001 XLT AWD
Hello, I am new to this thread and I am really hoping someone can help me.... I have a 2001 XLT 5.0 with AWD and I am and have been looking for a replacement for my suspension... from what I have been told, the coil springs in the front differ from those of the 2wd and 4x4, however, I have not found a company yet to carry anything for AWD. I would like to keep my ride height either the same or slightly higher... I do not want to make more mods than I have to at this point with the truck. The ride I have right now is getting pretty bouncy so I am assuming the springs are shot, mainly in the front, but I may want to change my leaves in the back as well. If I was to change the ride height of the truck, how much can I go before I will need to start worrying about camber components and steering issues? If anyone has any ideas as to what I can find some good springs that are not too much, I would greatly appreciate it. I can find struts, just no springs. I was thinking about going with the kyb monos... Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, and welcome

I assume you are new to the forums, as well as your truck

The front suspension is identical to the 4wd-

There are no springs, rather a torsion bar is used for suspension of the front IFS

So, what you want to loo for is "torsion twist" and " warrior shackle"

this will allow 32" tires with some trimkming of the fender-31's without.

You might check the "sticky's" at the top of each sub forum page-

for instance-this forum had this sticky at the top

The ride I have right now is getting pretty bouncy so I am assuming the springs are shot,

This is almost always due to worn shocks...not springs. If it's "bouncing", the springs/torsion bars are doing their jobs.

hello and welcome aboard
