Hey Guys,
So I've read a slew of 4x4 related issues and haven't found a thread with the symptoms I've been experiencing. Most/all of which seem to be resolved by replacing the control module.
There are no clicking sounds, no lights blinking on either the dash or the 3 Control-Trac buttons, and no strictly intermittent working problems.
It just doesn't engage, or give any feedback that you pressed a button at all. I've tried starting it from neutral (although that seems to only need to be done for 4x4 Low acoording to the manual). Also, I think it's worth mentioning that it didn't stop for any known reason---there was no loud or grinding sound one day, it didn't die after any maintenance...it just didn't work one day.
So my question is
1) Is my situation any different than all these other cases that have different symptoms?
2) Are there any tests that I can perform on my control module to see if it is indeed the culprit? Any measurements I can take with a multimeter while the car is running or not?
