2008 4.0 oil tube in head

I have a 2008 explorer with the 4.0. The rear timing chain went out and trashed the head and a couple pistons. Rebuilt the lower end and bought Rebuilt heads. The heads that where sent to me has a hole in the main cap near the cam gear. My original heads did not. Does anyone know when they stopped using the oil tube in the heads. What's the difference between the two

I don't know the answer but I would contact where you got the heads from.
