Hi, I need some help with a confusing problem. I have a message on the dash display that tells me to check right side hi beam headlight. I tried replacing the right side headlamp, but that is not the problem. When I try on put on the hi beams by either pulling the hi beam lever back or forward, the right headlight goes off.
This vehicle has some emergency equipment installed that flashes and alternates the headlights, and when that is activated, the hi beams work.
I had the installer check all that equipment (flashers, relays, etc) and it is all working correctly. This equipment has been on here for a while, and has worked fine until a few days ago.
What i am trying to avoid is taking the vehicle into a dealership and having them tell me that the other equipment is causing this problem, when i believe it is probably a Ford issue. Does anyone on here know if there is a headlite module or flasher on this vehicle that could cause this issue? Is it a simple or complex fix. Thanks
