2012 Explorer limited rear camera ground at camera plug

I have a 2012 Ford explorer limited that the rear camera works every now and then. have tried the you tube videos as far as splicing the grey and black wire to the back gate. still nothing. I am certain the camera is still good and would like to rule out everything. does anyone know which is the ground wire at the plug? Mine seem to be different from what I can find on line (for 2 days now) I attached a pic that plugs in to camera PN:BB5T-19G490-AE and yes, that bare wire came like that from the factory. any help would be great! thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Forum.
Given the model year of your Limited, there is a good chance it is the camera. Are you getting a warning message about having to see the dealer when it isn't working? Sorry that I can't help with the wiring. I've never had to check mine but perhaps another member will be able to assist. Good luck. If you have a multimeter that might help find the ground wire.
