2013 interceptor utility steering problem

I have a 2013 interceptor utility that is starting to experience hard steering ( like power assist not working ). Truck already had a new steering gear put in by ford part #eb5z*3504*m . I’m afraid that this needs to be replaced again and it’s pretty expensive. Anyone know if this part number was defect since it is now replaced by a new number ? Also do you think ford would make good on it since they did the job approx 2 years ago.

Genuine Ford parts and labour are warrantied for 2 years if I'm not mistaken. Looks like the new gear is EB5Z-3504-Q.
