Solved 2020 FORSCAN Discussion

Prefix for threads that contain problems that have been resolved, and there is an answer within the thread.
I'm assuming he means are the F150 Forscan codes for the heated wheel the same as the Explorer codes.

Correct, wondering if anyone has changed the temp/timeout of their heated steering wheel using the same info as the F150.

I just bought an OBD reader and Forscan Lite. I am getting all these error codes. Has anyone seen a similar problem? Does anyone have any experience with resetting modules with Forscan? I’m a little nervous. Any reading or video suggestions welcome.

It won't take both settings being changed -You'll see you'll get a write error (I tried both). In the end, I disabled the one labeled "noise enhancement software" only and it removed the fake engine noise on my 2021 in all drive modes.

I had a 2020 prior and had to do it in the As Built by modifying the hex values and I personally think it messed with the stereo speakers a little (always had some crackles in music after), so this new easy set Forscan option above was a welcome addition. All is well on my 2021 - FENG gone and stereo sounds wayy better..
Morning. I'll try this as well for my 2021 ST. I was also told to change the setting 727-01-01 setting to 00 (second box) using FORscan, does that help at all?

I doubt you'll get an answer from the member you quoted. He was last seen here on July 19, 2022. Hopefully, someone else can assist.

I know this is an old thread but there are a few things I'm trying to figure out:

Disable the doo-doo-doo chimes at start up and when you open the door with the engine running.
Enable the automatic EPB when put in Park.
Increase the amount of time the radio stays on after shutting off the engine.

Any help would be appreciated!

I can't recall if my Aviator activates the chimes when the door is open and the engine is running. I seldom find myself in that situation.
I was under the impression that your Explorer automatically engages the parking brake when you shift to Park. Several members have complained about that feature in the forum. Electric Parking Brake automatically engages when shifted to park
The radio usually stays ON longer if you use its ON/OFF button. I have noticed that it shuts down sooner if it is left ON after turning the ignition OFF. I don't know if the time can be extended using FORSCan or not.

My Explorer used to set the EPB automatically when shifted into park but since taking it in for service it no longer does it. I asked about it and they were clueless. I also asked my tuner about it and he said he didn't change it nor did he think he was able to. However, somehow it stopped working. I know a lot of people don't like it but I park on an inclined driveway and like to set the EPB before taking my foot off the brake so as not to put all that stress on the transmission. The one guy who actually wants it to work, it doesn't work for! LOL As for the radio, I thought there was a address location where you could change the amount of time it would stay on before it would "time out". I am pretty sure some people have talked about it in the ST forum but I can't find the thread it's located in.

Has anyone been denied warranty coverage exclusively because of using Forscan? I recall reading about one such case. I don't remember if it was here on the forum, or if it was on Facebook.

Livnitup over at the F150 Forum posted this spreadsheet which decodes much of what the BCM as-built does for the 2021+ F150. Based on what I've looked at, it appears the 2020+ Explorer/Aviator have essentially the same address locations in the BCM as the 2021+ F150.

FORScan - 2021 F150

Some of the descriptions are pretty cryptic, but it's a start. It looks like I was correct about the location of the power point timeout duration.

@Nine29 - try this to have power always-on to the 12V power points for 2020+ MY:

726-57-01 xxxx x1xx xxxx - 12V power point timeout enabled (default - use timeout duration)
726-57-01 xxxx x0xx xxxx - 12V power point timeout disabled (always on)

Here are some other things I found in that sheet, which need confirmed for 2020+ MY:

726-62-01 x0xx xxxx xxxx - Keyfob panic button disabled
726-62-01 x1xx xxxx xxxx - Keyfob panic button requires two clicks
726-62-01 x2xx xxxx xxxx - Keyfob panic button requires one click (default)

726-01-02 xxxx xxx0 xxxx - Keyfob panic alarm lights & horns (default)
726-01-02 xxxx xxx1 xxxx - Keyfob panic alarm lights only

726-28-01 xxxx xxx1 xxxx - Keyfob car finder on - clicking lock twice honks horn (default)
726-28-01 xxxx xxx0 xxxx - Keyfob car finder off

726-39-02 xxxx x0xx xxxx - Fog light memory enabled
726-39-02 xxxx x1xx xxxx - Fog light memory disabled (default)

726-25-01 xAxB xCxD xFxx - Remote start duration, 0 = off, 1 = 5 mins, 2 = 10 mins (default), 3 = 15 mins. A = Key 1, B = Key 2, C = Key 3, D = Key 4 F = vehicle IPC config.

726-55-01 x?xx xxxx xxxx - Door ajar lighting color. 3 is the default here as it was on 2016-2019 Explorers, so perhaps the same codes work for different colors?

726-40-02 xxx0 xxxx xxxx - Front turn signal lamp outage detection disabled (for LED hyperflash)
726-40-02 xxx1 xxxx xxxx - Front turn signal lamp outage detection enabled (default)

There's a lot more to be figured out, but hopefully that will flesh out the BCM settings in the iCloud spreadsheet.
Hello: I just purchased a 2020 police utility and would like to among other things enable remote fobs, Connectivity for ford pass. Do you have more data for the explorer or could you point me in the right direction?

Hi Peter Thanks for the reply. I just downloaded (with one year licence) to do updates on my 2020 PIU and I get the following message: Unable to connect to vehicle...please make sure the ignition key is on and try again. Any ideas?

Sorry, I don't use FORScan. I lease my vehicles so I don't do anything to them. Does it connect with the key ON?

Peter

It's supposed to. I'll check on the Forscan site to see if anyone else has had a similar issue.

I glanced/read all 27 pages here and didn’t see my question come up.

Is there a way to disable my 24 from automatically going into park when I open the door. I would like to still be able to drive with the door open if needed.

The other question is the little blue lights next to the map lights is there a way to turn that off?

Welcome to the Forum.
Have you tried driving it with the door open without going into Park first?
As for those small lights, I don't believe they can be turned OFF unless you somehow disconnect the power to them. If they really bother you, just try covering them up. I've had them on my last 3 vehicles and don't notice them when driving at night.

I have a couple times and it puts it in park. You cannot move it
