You're thinking of Quebec. Canada has no such laws.

As quickfix mentioned, Canada has no laws regarding the use of winter tires although their use is strongly recommended. The provinces are in charge of these regulations and the province of Quebec mandates their use from December 1 to March 15 inclusive. Fines range up to $300.

Oh, i thought it was all of canada. I watch a lot of straightpipes on youtube and i guess they're just suggesting canada drivers should put winter tires. I thought they were saying it like it was the law.

lol i know, continental.

But they always preach about winter tires when it's winter. Meaning winter tires in general. I think it'll be bad on their part if they constantly had to promote continental. Even though it is a great tire.
