2021 explorer XLT
New to the group. Thanks for having me. My question is regarding my 2021 Ford explorer XLT. We have noticed several times when starting from a stop at a red light the auto restart does not work and two error messages pop up. The first is to check the brake system, the second is hill start error. I have a call into the purchasing dealership, but they can't get me in for almost 3 weeks. I want to make sure that I am not hurting the vehicle by continuing to drive, or making driving unsafe. Any replies as to why this is happening and if I should continue to drive would be greatly appreciated.

I would have asked these questions of the dealer that is going to service it. I’d continue to drive it, it sounds like a not uncommon electrical glitch.

Turn the engine shut of function off when you start the car until it’s fixed.

I’d be prepared for the dealer to do little in the event “they can’t replicate the issue”.

Welcome to the Forum.
I had much the same suggestion as Mbooks420. Turn the feature OFF and see if the same issues pop up. If not, keep it OFF until you are able to have it checked out.
What do you do when the auto-restart doesn't work. Do you have to turn the vehicle OFF/ON?
