Terrain Management System Fault, Service AdvanceTrac, Hill Start Assist Not Available

Sigh........seems I get to join the fun. The same thing happened yesterday to what you all have listed here - except I have NO acceleration (like my 98-year-old granny drives faster than me)..... RPM's are running at about 3200 instead of the 1800 like usual. Have any of you experienced this as well? And with today being Saturday - the service shops around here are closed. Stopped to see if it was throwing any codes and it came back with nothing - which I found strange. It's not the battery - I just changed that 3 months ago

I talked to Ford and they are saying it's the ABS -- my question (which is still unanswered) is how can an ABS issue cause problems with accerlation?

^^ Welcome to the Forum.
If the ABS is engaging it would affect acceleration. It could be an issue with a wheel speed sensor. Not being a mechanic, perhaps the increase in RPMs is due to the engine attempting to overcome the braking effect. Just a guess though,

So I have just started having this issue on my 2011 Ex. It only happens when I put my car in park. They all pop up and go away. No other dash lights. I did come out of the library the other day to a completely dead car. Got a jump and went immediately to replace the battery as the temps have been dropping and I have never replaced it in all the years of owning it. Everything worked fine, no warnings until driving for a day or 2. Now it has started again. Not sure where to start as my situation seems a little different than everyone else's.

I will add that this did start happening around the time my rear brakes needed replaced. Not sure if it could be related but I did see ABS mentioned. I do not have an ABS warning currently or ever that I have noticed.

Have you checked or had it checked for any possible stored trouble codes (DTC)? If there is a code, it could provide some information about the issue. 13 years on the OEM battery?

Looks like I get to join the party !!
I’ll try and keep this short and sweet but I think the more posts / solutions in this forum will help.
So I had
Service advancetrac
Terrain management fault (would no longer switch off of normal mode)
Sometimes the hill assist would pop but not all the time
Also sometimes the front collision warning

These warnings would flash up (sometimes with a clunk from under the hood) along with traction control light, but would go away within two seconds and would keep on driving but the terrain management would still not work until I shut off and restarted.

Scanned it and got these codes

U0401-00 from ABS (invalid data reviewed from ECM/PCM)
U0415-00 invalid data received from ABS module

And a bunch of others that were saying invalid data from modules etc.

Tested battery was only reading 11.8 got a new battery. Took it for a drive and all the signs came up again after deleting the codes only difference now is the dash lights stayed on and that stupid little wrench came up which was the first time.
Scanned it again and it spit me out new DTC codes

P0108 MAP/BARO circuit malfunction.

I will be ordering a new MAP sensor as it seems that’s the main solution? Although seems to be more then a couple solutions. I will update

Any update on your issue? Any reply to my post about trouble codes?

Thanks. Do you think the MAP would fix the ABS code its throwing ? That to me seems like a speed sensor maybe? But the main code stating MAP. Maybe both. I’m pretty far from a mechanic lol

I can't say. Like you, I'm not a mechanic. I have my dealer do all the servicing.

replaced my MAP.. drove for 20 minutes, didn’t have any problems yet except for all of a sudden my TPMS is going crazy flashing and none of my psi is showing up… gonna disconnect battery and see if that may reset it.

TPMS still being stupid … I don’t get it comes back with codes

B124-D-02 general signal failure
B1182-00
Fix one thing and a total unrelated thing comes up lol
