Interested in the 2022 Explorer. All dealers here in SW Florida are charging fees between 700 - 1000 dollars. Am going to travel to central Florida to a dealer who doesn't charge that fee......here's the problem...going to be wife's car.....she is 5' 2" tall. Dealer is 3 hrs away. Anyone reporting any problems with visibility at my wifes's height? Don't want to waste local dealer staffs time to sit in car and look around.

If any of the local dealers have a 2022 in stock why not have the wife try them out? You are not obligated to buy it. Just say that you are looking at different vehicles to try and find the right one. They may even waive or reduce the fee if you tell them you are looking at different manufacturers but that the fee may be an issue. Also, keep in mind that you will likely need one of them as your 'local' dealership for service, etc.

My wife is 5'5". No complaints at all.

So did you purchase? I bought mine 3 hours away at Mullinax in West Palm Beach because 1) they're the only ones I could find that would accept D Plan on a stock unit 2) they happened to have one in stock that was pretty much exactly how I'd order it and 3) they have no dealer fee. Got real lucky on that one.

Driver height vs. torso length is really variable, so you need to have your wife sit in the vehicle and verify that she likes the seating position.

My wife is 5’2” and had no issues using an Expedition (quite a bit larger than an Explorer) as her daily driver. Visibility was great and she felt totally in control. She still talks about how much she liked that vehicle and how it “handled”. YMMV.
