2025 Coachman Leprechaun 298KB

Sprinkle a little bit of water, some fertilizer and bang! Your truck camper grows up.. We picked this up last Saturday. Did a special order from the factory, wanted the solid surface counter top and no factory solar. Electric powered recliners with heat/massage; we've had the manual recliners in the past, I just hated them. Got the dual AC with the 15k front and 11k rear that is capable of working on a 30 amp circuit.

This also has a 12v Compressor fridge, no more absorption fridge.. Just another item to get used to.

The interesting part is the hitch aligned with the JKUR bumper almost perfectly with no extensions or risers.

Coachmen says a Freelander dealer can't order Leprechauns and vis-a-versa. The difference between the Freelanders and Leprechauns is the color schemes.

SWEET!!!!

Picked up a 2 160ah lifepo batteries from Amazon, they are (or was) on sale for $219ea. They have a bluetooth BMS, so it's easy to see if what shape they are in. I picked up 2 in december, so it will have 640ah of battery. Since it has a 12v compressor fridge, not going to worry anymore about killing the lead batteries in a few hours. This is the the battery - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D8V6RS1V

Also planning on how to setup a solar/inverter system on it. The generator this came with is good, but there's still times I want to do quick things that firing up the generator for a few minutes is silly..

That’s a nice battery for that price!!!
The bms can suck up some juice, so a couple of decent solar panels will keep those babies topped off

Congrats. Where is the first trip? Any big trip plans?

The first major trip will be to back to Omaha, NE for my mother's 90th birthday in May.

We hope to someday get the Maverick setup for flat tow behind this behemoth, but they need to sort out the tow plates first.

Been busy. Replaced two of the vents with MaxAire Deluxe fans. The wife couldn't reach them, and they had 6" noise makers in them.

Replaced the Winegard 4G gateway with a 5G/WiFi6 gateway from GLinet Spitx AX with 2x30gb t-mobile data sims at $15 a month for both plans. The Spitx can also attach to a phone in tethering mode and use that plan also for data. I am working on getting other access figured out. Yes, this is not the most optimal way to do things, it's just cheap.

Original fan, wife can't reach, when on really just makes noise.

Maxaire Deluxe w/remote control. No vent cover is needed.

Added a Victron 75/15 Smart MPPT controller with 2 100w external solar panels. Replaced the existing solar panel standalone connector from SAE to a Trolling Motor Plug. This is simply to keep the batteries topped up when the RV is in storage - the external solar is incapable of keeping the batteries charged if the fridge is on. They will probably get replaced with 200watt Renogy Shade buster panels.

Working on getting 6x200w Renogy Shadowflux 200w panels mounted on the roof, along with 2 Victron 60amp MPPT Smart controllers, a 3kva Victron Inverter/Charger, Lynx distribution, and wiring it all up. Did trace out the existing "solar ready" roof port and 3 of the 6 panels will use that. Found a path inside the RV for the cables to drop down into the compartment where the controllers will be mounted.

Also working on getting Garnet Seelevel tank gauges installed.
