I have this one too, it’s basically the executive package for the Police Utility Interceptor. Ford sells that top panel. I believe I posted the part number somewhere in the beginning of this forum.@peterk9 and @shadow9317 Look at alexc's photos one more time. It looks like he fabricated this himself, or had someone do it for him.
His top piece appears to be a civilian model with a plug in the shifter location. And the location where you would mount the rear climate controls is a blank instead of the standard part with a plug insert.
Based on his photos, it appears he shortened the tray in the front to make it fit without moving the receiver. If you look at the real Admin Console there is this extension bit. And that is what causes the placement issues. View attachment 453901
I have the part number from you and I called Ford to get the newer one.I have this one too, it’s basically the executive package for the Police Utility Interceptor. Ford sells that top panel. I believe I posted the part number somewhere in the beginning of this forum.
Yes I see, on this one he used the civilian top. That cap I believe he got from the internet somewhere, or someone 3d printed it. I remember seeing the round caps for sale somewhere online, but didn’t go with it.I have the part number from you and I called Ford to get the newer one.
The point I'm trying to make is the top unit is different on his compared to the REAL Admin Console..

Its not just the cap though. Again, look at the part where it meets with the dash. Its differently shaped. Because he shortened the tray the AMU does not need to be moved.Yes I see, on this one he used the civilian top. That cap I believe he got from the internet somewhere, or someone 3d printed it. Yes , I know the part , I actually have one of those too, on my spare civilian console. I see what your talking about now,Its not just the cap though. Again, look at the part where it meets with the dash. Its differently shaped. Because he shortened the tray the AMU does not need to be moved.

Exactly, its looks like a civilian modified console. He likely took it to a shop and had them make it fit.
Yes that’s correct. I ordered most of the stuff to complete the project. The gps and antenna cable can be moved to the back along with the radio. It looks like the speaker wire harness will have to be extended to the rear. The sync 3 models have a screen that is connected to the APIM , instead of the radio receiver like the existing one. It’s taking time , but I will eventually get it figured out. I’m gonna start out with the 8” screen , just to verify that it does work.Exactly, its looks like a civilian modified console. Talking about admin consoles.. Salvage FPIU with one installed. https://www.copart.com/lot/54388924/salvage-2023-ford-explorer-police-interceptor-il-chicago-north
I'm willing to bet that the reason units with the admin console come with SYNC3 is because they have the APIM in the front and the AMU in the back like the civilian model.
We need 1 person who relocated the radio to the back, and 1 person that successfully upgraded to Sync 3 with the 8” screen lolUnfortunately, we may never know what Alekc did. He was last seen here on April 18, 2023.

overpriced junk 256$ FOR A NON FACTORY LOOKING CONSOLE you must be smoking some crack, I could literally get the OEM console for that price... tack on an extra 100$ you can get the metal plate and the console together for 356$! like bruv XD yall make me laugh nennoAs the owner of Nenno Products, we don't pay anyone to advertise for us and never have. There is a mod kit for it now. Was posted to a facebook group I'm a part of.We need 1 person who relocated the radio to the back, and 1 person that successfully upgraded to Sync 3 with the 8” screen lol. I might have to be the first, if I find some time.
