2nd Row Heated Seats?

I mentioned the lack of rear heated seats to the Ford sales rep yesterday and he said they can do it at the dealership- he would prefer it done at the dealership rather than aftermarket so that they have control over quality. While he didn't specifically say it, I interpreted it to mean they were using existing Ford parts to do the install.

Perhaps the OEM Taurus 2nd row heated seat package.

If you get it done PLEASE post pictures and get the guy to explain how they did it.

Where did they take power from, where did they insert heater pads etc etc.

Im planning to do it if it's a clean mod with OEM parts.

My limited, 302 package with second row bench seat is not heated.

The dealer told me they aftermarket installed heated rear seats to the first 100 explorers they had with leather. Haven't seen a single one and asked specifically. I dont know if he was blowing smoke up my @ss or what, but still whenever i go there I always ask to see it. Saw it once on one- ford should do the rear heated seats themselves and make them cooled too

Ask to see one of the Ex's thats done or get the information on the parts......many on this forum would probably like to do it.

If they have the option on the Taurus they should have it offerred on the Explorer

That would be awesome. Who says the front passengers are the only ones who get to have all the fun?

I wonder if that may be in store for the new Aviator that is maybe going to be built?

I gave this old thread a bump because I wanted to ask the guys with 2014 Explorers if they got heated 2nd row seats.

It shows if you select the 2nd row bench the two outside seat cushions get heat.

But the same isnt true if you select 2nd row captains chairs.

Can someone who owns one please confirm?

Order guide states that 2nd row bench is standard with heat. Buckets are optional and also heated, Limited model only.

The 2014 Limited we have on order most definitely DOES have heated second row buckets.

Sorry I should have specified I was looking for info on the SPORT.

I was clear on the Limited 2nd Row

SPORT is 2nd Row Bench heated only I believe, just wanted it confirmed.

I have a 2014 Sport with 401A package with Bucket Seats for second row and can confirm those don't have heated seats. Just need someone with a bench seat to confirm theirs. I don't believe it was an option on the Sports, from what I have read its standard on the Limited only for 2014 but certainly doesn't mean something might have changed.

I read that on the Ford website but it still left a question in my mind as to whether that applies to the bucket seats. A bench seat is the standard configuration. Since the buckets are optional, I still wonder if that statement actually applies to them as well. I guess we'll find out when yours arrives.

Our dealer thought ours would have heated second row bucket seats. I seem to remember sitting in the back of one they had and seeing the heat control on the back of the center console.

As for the Sport and rear seat heat - I'd eat my hat if that wasn't also now standard on all Sports. But that's just a guess.

Ya I agree it just seems weird to heat a bench in the SPORT but not heat buckets when the Limited buckets are heated.

Im looking at a 14 SPORT build just need it confirmed first

Only the Limited has heated 2nd row seats, the Sport does not.

But when I go to build one on Ford's website it shows the word "heated" only when I select the bench option. Anyone has a limited with bucket seats , 301A and can confirm if they are heated or not?

So did you get the vehicle yet? Does have heated 2nd row buckets?
