31x10.5=? & 32x10.5=? (Help!)

I am researching tire sizes for my stock 2000 Explorer 4 door 16 in rims. I want to put the biggest tires on possible. I am probably going to go with the Michelin LTX M/S or AT. But my real question is:
31 x 10.5 = what? 265 / 70??
32 x 10.5 = what? 265 / 75??
I went to http://www.4lo.com to try to make conversions and just got more confused.

It said 265 / 75 /16 = 31.6 x 10.4
Please advise what size in US = Metric
AND...
What is the biggest size I can run on a stock 2000 Explorer 16in rims with out rubbing??

P.S. Does anybody have pics of these tires on this body style explorer? Would love to see.

Please help me with this question,
Thanks

It sounds like a 32/10.50. I assume micheln web site has a spec chart. If not check BFG or Bridgestones site. I've been to both of those several times. Several guys here run the tire you mention on Sports. Look at the "Before and After" forum for pics.

Rob,
Welcome to the site.
265/75-R16 are equal to 32X10.5's
Tom Wilks had 265's on his sport before he put the OME/torsion bar lift. You will have to do some slight trimming on the front bumper, but that's no biggie and no one will notice unless you tell them. I ran 31X10.5's on my 97 XLT stock with no trimming at all and NO RUBBING. If you do the torsion bar lift and Warrior shackles,add-a-leaf, or OME springs, you will have no problem at all running 265's.
Hope this helps
